I have only seen it once, in the theater when it came out. I remember being distinctly disappointed in it, but my idea of what made a good movie was very different back then. Perhaps it was also due to the fact that by the time they finally meet onscreen, after years and years, DeNiro and Pacino had become just a notch less than the great points in their careers.

City Lights - Great movie. Simple, smart filmmaking at its best. Chaplin was terrific.

JFK - Hehe. I've only seen this one once. It's good and I do love the procedural style of film, but it never stuck with me for some reason. I think the whole "conspiracy" thing it helped to foster always annoyed me, as I'm usually quite skeptical of mass conspiracies. I know Tricia has never seen it, so perhaps that gives me a good reason to go back and rewatch it. Also, I figured you'd find a way to get your Costner mancrush represented on this list somehow (although I was really hoping for Robin Hood).

Glengarry Glen Ross - We're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anybody want to see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired.

oh, and did you ever take a dump made you feel like you'd just slept for twelve hours?

(Needless to say, you know where I stand on my love for this movie. Seriously, Jack Lemmon is just so damn good in this. One question -- is this now considered a mainstream film that everyone knows about?)

Robocop - Yup, I'm the best big brother ever. Made my top 5, so I'll have more up on it soon enough.Troy Olsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14843741571724231174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8785859730868628316.post-51004971430760350602008-07-02T23:49:00.000-07:002008-07-02T23:49:00.000-07:00Sorry this is off topic, but I just saw Jason Giam...Sorry this is off topic, but I just saw Jason Giambi's mustache for the first time and...words cannot convey how it makes me feel.

Sorry to say but I don't see a top 10 coming from me. I just can't stop riding my bike.

But keep up the good work, I'm ready for yours!Lyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11414584938676608708noreply@blogger.com
